This lesson investigates the History of Holidays and how holidays have changed over time. Students will timeline what holidays were like in different time periods and identify why holidays have changed over time. Students will also look at the Nazi case study of Prora as an example of a change to holiday traditions.

This download includes a fully editable powerpoint with all activities, instructions, clip links and worksheets/information sheets you need.

Activities are planned to encourage thinking and discussion.

This lesson is a part of a growing Seasonal Lessons bundle (all available individually too), which includes 3 different Christmas lessons, an Easter lesson and one for Valentines’ Day!
