Are you looking for a Halloween activity for your students that reinforces their treble clef note reading and playing skills? This activity is like a treasure hunt or scavenger hunt! Your pupils will be active and engaged as they search the classroom for ghosts and use them to complete their sheet music before practising it on their instruments.

This activity will suit a range of ages. It is fun without being babyish and can be easily completed in one lesson. The sheet music can be played on any treble clef instrument.

With minimal prep (printing and hiding the ghosts), you will have a fun Halloween lesson suitable for a range of music classes. The students will go on a treasure hunt, finding the ghosts, and writing the missing notes on their sheet music.

This is a great game for a little Halloween fun, and reinforces the theory and instrumental skills the students have been working on!

Full teacher instructions are included, answers, and a lead sheet with lyrics for the teacher.

Write the Room music jigsaw scavenger hunts BUNDLE

Somewhere between scavenger hunts, jigsaws, music theory, write the room and season songs... we find these activities! Each themed product has bars of music missing, which students find around the room and fill in on their copy of the music. Once complete, they get to play it! This is a growing bundle - purchase now, and receive ALL future products in the series for FREE! Just check back and redownload the files once more are added! **What's included?** Each activity includes: Student worksheet 6 missing bars to hide around your classroom Teacher instructions Answers Sheet music (lead sheet and lyrics) **Current themes are:** • Elf Hunt (Christmas theme, We Wish You a Merry Christmas) • Ghost Hunt (Halloween theme, Have You Seen the Ghost of John?) • Baseball Hunt (Baseball theme, Take Me Out to the Ball Game) • Teddy Bear Hunt (Valentine's theme, Let Me Call You Sweetheart) • Leprechaun Hunt (St Patrick's Day theme, Tell Me Ma) • Cowboy Hunt (Cotton Eye Joe) • Summer Hunt (I Do Like to be beside the Seaside) **Tell me more!** These lessons are all planned and ready to go - all you have to do is print the sheets and hide the missing bars! Make it as easy or as difficult as you like. Students each get a worksheet which contains sheet music for a seasonal or themed song, but several bars are missing. They go on a treasure hunt or scavenger hunt to find the missing bars (held by elves, baseball players, leprechauns etc to match the theme) which the students copy onto their sheet. Gotta get that music theory into your lessons! Once they have found all the missing bars, they will have the completed sheet music to play on their xylophone, keyboard, piano, recorder - or any treble clef instrument really! Full sheet music with lyrics and chords is included if you want to lead a class performance from the piano. Music teachers are busy year-round and it can be tough to incorporate seasonal activities in a packed curriculum. You probably teach multiple classes and year groups and it's impossible to create individual lessons for them all for every single occasion! With some seasonal and some "evergreen" variations included in the bundle, you can have these ready for any time of year. These lessons are low-prep and can be used with multiple different age groups - print once and use for multiple classes! I'd suggest using from around age 10-14, but check out the previews to judge for your own students.

Halloween Bundle of Music Activities and Games

Looking for fresh, ready-to-go Halloween music lessons and activities for your music classes this October? This bundle of Halloween music resources is packed with fun, low-prep lessons, games, and printable activities that cover listening, music theory, instruments, singing, and rhythm. If you teach several different years, classes or grades, this bundle was made for you! Think of it as a Halloween pick ‘n’ mix — choose different activities for different classes depending on what they need. Whether you’re planning a one-off Halloween performance, a spooky music game to start a lesson, or a themed listening activity, you’ll find it here. Even if you don’t use every resource, the heavily discounted bundle price means you’ll still save money compared to buying each activity individually — and you’ll have a stash of Halloween music ideas ready for years to come! **What's included?** Danse Macabre - this is one of my favourite General Music units, which include a range of written tasks on listening and theory concepts. These require no tech and no instruments so are ideal for displaced classes or those who need calmer, quieter work. Ideal for years 6-8. Note Cards - print these cute pumpkin cards with treble clef notes and use them in a variety of different ways! Clear instructions are given for 8 different games, covering theory, composition, partner work, small groups, starter tasks, fast finishers, bell ringers and more. Use a quick game to give your lesson a Halloween flavour, or use several of the games to make a full lesson. Ideal for years 4-8. Class Samba - a fresh alternative to bucket drumming, this samba-style lesson uses Halloween phrases to teach rhythms and get your students performing in a class ensemble. Think "creepin' it real" and "ghouls just wanna have fun" - you'll get a smile out of even your coolest students! This includes more complex rhythms and is most suitable for years 7-8. Sheet Music - an easy piano arrangement of the popular Halloween tune Ghost of John. Use it with your piano or keyboard classes. Suitable for years 4-7 (depending on playing experience). Jigsaw Hunt - a fun activity that gets your students moving around the classroom looking for ghosts! Students get sheet music with bars missing and the ghosts provide them with the missing notes. The finished sheet music can be played on classroom instruments. Best suited for years 4-6.
