A vocabulary building activity for foreign learners of English working at CEFR level C1, which develops learner strategies to support the recognition, decoding and learning of vocabulary based on 19 prefixes which originate from Greek. The activity builds lexical knowledge and supports both reading and spelling strategies. It would be suitable for adult ESOL learners, EAL learners and young EFL learners, particularly those seeking to achieve an English IELTS score of 6.0 or above required for university admission.
