Scaffold your students to success - and reduce your cognitive load - in investigating the relationship between current and voltage for an Ohmic Conductor/Fixed Resistor with this summary sheet for AQA Required Practical 16a (Specification reference 6.2.1.4 Resistors) also covered in Edexcel as a core practical (10.17)

Using a practical-on-a-page approach, students will be guided to condense the key information for easy reference and retention. Students will identify variables, measuring equipment required, analyse risks and hazards and to ultimately describe a valid method that would obtain an IV characteristic graph for the component. Commonly assessed aspects of this practical by AQA are emphasised, with a circuit diagram consistent with their style, and expected results graph, included.

Two versions of the sheet are included to cater for different levels of independence, with completed versions displayed on the slides to allow easy feedback to students.
