Fire Safety Coloring Pages, 45 printable sheets covering hydrants, extinguishers, and a young firefighter with a hose, built for Fire Prevention Week in October. One design per page.

The Equipment on the Page

A child sized firefighter stands at the center of several designs, wearing a domed helmet with a badge on the front and a turnout coat with reflective bands drawn as stripes around the sleeves. Both hands grip a hose, and a spray of water arcs from the nozzle. The gear around this figure is drawn with real parts. A fire hydrant has a rounded cap on top and two side outlets with bolt marks. A fire extinguisher shows its trigger handle, a pressure gauge, and a short hose curling off the side. An alarm call box carries the word ALARM above a small square button. A loose hose lies coiled in three loops with a nozzle at one end. A flame with wide eyes and an open smile turns the hazard itself into a character.

Educational Benefits
  • Safety vocabulary grows as children name the hydrant, the alarm, and the extinguisher.
    • Recognition of emergency equipment helps a child spot the real thing in a building.
    • Community helper awareness builds through repeated images of a firefighter at work.
    • Detail work is needed for the coat stripes and the hose coils.
    • Discussion openings appear on every sheet for talking about an escape plan at home.
Where These Belong
