Factris turns spotting factors into a fast, addictive arcade game where a rising number wall must be divided down before it overflows.

A falling number appears — if it divides the wall, hit FACTOR to shrink it (or clear it completely for a big bonus); if it doesn’t, the wall keeps growing. Built-in progression keeps it fresh: levels widen the pool of factors and speed up the drops, correct streaks earn escalating combo bonuses, and an optional Time Attack mode adds a 90-second countdown where good factoring buys extra time and mistakes cost it. Three lives mean one slip doesn’t end the round.

Tap Space Bar to Factor the rising wall. If the wall is showing 12 and there is a falling 2, hit Factor and the wall height drops to 6. Hit Factor again, and it drops to 3. When it lands, the falling number just adds to the wall.

If you hit Factor when the falling number is NOT a factor of the wall, you incur a 5-point penalty add to the wall value. However, used strategically, this can be a tactic in your favour. For example with a wall of 11 and a falling 2, hitting Factor adds 5 so the wall is now 16. Good news! You can now tap Factor 4 times in a row and completely clear the wall for a Clear! bonus.

Runs entirely in the browser once opened — no installation, no accounts, no internet connection needed after setup, and no pupil data is ever collected or uploaded (fully GDPR-compliant). Works as a warm-up, plenary, or independent practice task for factors, multiples, and divisibility across KS3 and KS4. A simple setup guide is included.
