KS3 English lesson on the NHS, healthcare and writing to persuade, that focuses on key features of writing to persuade, including using DAFORREST techniques such as direct address, facts, statistics, emotive language and so on. It uses the National Health Service (NHS) to generate debate around how important the institution is to British people and discussion that then feeds into students creating their own non-fiction speeches that are designed for persuasion. Includes differentiated activities, model examples, notes for students and teachers and more. Really useful for English KS3 students but also adaptable for AQA English Language Paper 2 Question 5. Fully differentiated throughout.
