These exit tickets are designed specifically for early readers, not simplified versions of upper-primary tasks. You get 20 exit tickets across 10 foundational literacy skills for Kindergarten through Grade 2. Every ticket has a clear, age-appropriate question, a sentence starter to scaffold the written response, and generous writing lines. The DOK 2 tickets add a bonus challenge box for students who finish early.

K-2 exit tickets need to do three things at once: use accessible language, scaffold the written response, and still ask something worth thinking about. The built-in sentence starter works as a model rather than a crutch, so even emergent writers can produce a meaningful response in their own words.

Use them at the end of a shared or guided reading session, as a quick reading-journal prompt, or to differentiate (DOK 1 for whole-class response, DOK 2 for small-group or extension).
