El centro de llamadas de los verbos (Present tense -ar, -er, -ir activity)

A few students in Señora Mara’s Spanish class are struggling with understanding present tense verbs. In order to help the students, Señora Mara has arranged a verb call center staffed by an employee (another teacher) where students can call and get the verb conjugation and the English meaning of the infinitive.

Your task: Assume the role of the employee at the verb call center and write the present tense conjugations and the English translation of the infinitives using the word bank.

There are 10 -ar, -er, -ir infinitives (30 total)

Pages 1-2: -ar infinitives, Pages 3-4: -er infinitives, Pages 5-6: -ir infinitives

*Only regular -ar, -er, -ir infinitives are used.

Note: All questions are structured the same as the example below. Only the infinitives and subjects will vary.

Sample:

Word bank for conjugations: bailan, hablo

Word bank for infinitives: to dance, to speak

Marcos: ¿Cuál es la conjugación de hablar? El sujeto es yo. ¿Qué significa hablar en inglés?

Empleado: La conjugación es: Yo _____________ Hablar significa ____________

Answer key is included on pages 7-12.

Students can do the practice orally in pairs or in small groups.

This practice can be used for classwork, homework, quiz, review, entry / exit slip.
