Edexcel IGCSE English Language Paper 1 Q6/Q7/non-fiction writing/transactional writing/article writing lesson that explores the key features of magazine articles, as we work towards writing a writing to explain article for a magazine.

We look at an exam task about animal captivity in zoos and use this stimulus to aid students in their learning regarding how to create effective subheadings.

We explore an example article and how the writer includes the basic features required. We also look at different approaches to writing subheadings. Students write out their own features for their own article.
