Edexcel IGCSE English Language Paper 1 Q6 and Q7/transactional writing/non-fiction writing/speech writing lesson that supports students in understanding the differences between writing to argue and writing to persuade through the stimulus of the benefits and problems of social media.

Students explore a model speech on an exam question topic around social media issues, exploring how the text includes DAFORREST language techniques and why, so students can see how using rhetorical devices can impact on how their audiences understand and interpret their speeches.
