Edexcel IGCSE English Language Paper 2/imaginative writing/creative writing/Section B/narrative writing lesson that prepares students to write an assessment piece based on a story with the title of a life-saving rescue (AO4/AO5).

Students write out their own lists of success criteria based on previous learning, and then explore the mark scheme and indicative content to consolidate their understanding of how to improve their drafts that they wrote in previous lessons.

They are then given a detailed checklist to support them in writing out their final assessment pieces.

Students reflect on their learning through reflection sheets at the end of the session.
