Get your class excited about Earth Day or caring for our planet with these fun superhero foldouts. This hands-on writing craft will have children pick a superhero that looks like them, before completing the foldable template with ideas for how they can be an Earth superhero. They’ll then cut and paste the parts together, before folding. They’ll love opening their foldout to show what they’ve written inside!

There are 14 different superhero kids so pupils can choose one that looks like them.

The templates

There are several template options to choose from so you can select the one(s) that best suits you and your learners. Each template has 4 sections.

• Template with ‘I can be an Earth superhero by…’ and 3 blank boxes (included with and without lines).
• Template with 4 prompts to respond to (included with and without lines).
• Template for pupils to draw or write things they can reduce, reuse, recycle, and nature they can care for (3 boxes in each section).
• Template for pupils to draw or write things they can reduce, reuse, recycle, and nature they can care for (2 boxes in each section).

Is this resource editable?
This resource is partially editable. The template pages are included as a PowerPoint and in Google Slides for you to edit the prompts if needed. The Slides version can only be edited with Google fonts.

Other parts of the resource are not editable.
