This KS4 Welsh Second Language lesson introduces learners to Dydd Santes Dwynwen through structured vocabulary development, translation practice and cultural understanding activities. The resource includes key word matching, retrieval tasks and bilingual translation designed to strengthen accuracy and reinforce prior knowledge of celebrations. Learners progress from recognising and using topic vocabulary to forming opinions, responding to questions and comparing Welsh celebrations, culminating in a Unit 2–style speaking task. Objectives guide pupils from simple sentence construction to confidently using a range of tenses, expressing and justifying opinions, agreeing and disagreeing, and asking and answering questions with increasing independence. The lesson is fully differentiated, visually engaging and suitable for whole-class teaching or exam-focused revision.

Worksheets also provided.
