“DRAMA SCHEME OF WORK (SOW).pdf” is a detailed year-long plan for teaching Year 7 Drama.

It’s divided into three terms, each with weekly WALT (What Are We Learning Today), WILF (What I’m Looking For), activities, and assessments:

Term 1 – Introduction, Voice/Movement, and Ensemble Skills
Focuses on basic drama rules, stage awareness, voice projection, physical expression, improvisation, and group performance skills. Ends with a group-devised project, “A Moment of Change” (Weeks 8–10).

Term 2 – Script Work and Characterisation
Teaches how to interpret scripts, analyse text, develop characters, use voice/movement for characterisation, and block scenes. Ends with a scripted performance (Weeks 8–10).

Term 3 – Devising from Stimuli
Students respond creatively to given stimuli, develop concepts, characters, and settings, structure their performance, experiment with drama techniques, and refine their work. Final assessment is a devised performance plus a written portfolio (Weeks 8–10).

The document links each term to Cambridge IGCSE Drama Component 2 requirements, and assessments use both teacher observation and peer/self-reflection with rubrics.
