Students love being creative with this practical project, working to a design brief and taking pride in having a tanglible product at the end, that can be added to the school library and shared with students.

Design Brief:
Design a personified letter to be used in a book that helps teach early years children the alphabet and word suggestions. E.g. A for Angry Apple.

• Introduction to personification.
• Introuduction to the work of Paul Thurlby and how graphic designers commercalise that their designs.
• Design brief.
• Sketching task.
• Refined drawing task.
• Scanning then working on Canva (free program).
• Publishing of book.
