Part of the Writing the Senses series which explores a different type of sensory imagery in each workshop. This prompt uses an extract from Patrick Suskind’s novel Perfume- The Story of a Murderer to explore the rich olfactory (smell) imagery evoked in the first chapter. Students will then design and write about their own invented fragrance, bringing their scents to life for readers.
