Coraline KS3 SOW

A unit on Coraline, with at least 19 lessons (21 including writing time for both assessments), taking students step by step through the novel. 2 Assessments: 1 reading assessment (language question) included on the cat and a creative writing assessment where pupils must write a description of a gothic villain. Resources Include: * Lessons on foreshadowing, characterisation, analysing language, and many more. * A range of activities for each chapter * At least 10 comprehension questions on each chapter * Repeat questions for each lesson linked to the lesson prior * Key contextual activities and information * Discussion tasks * Close examination of language and key scenes * Model paragraphs * Creative writing lessons and activities * Reflection/plenary activity for each lesson * A summary of each chapter
