All momentum content is Higher Tier, and this pack is built around the two calculations that appear on the official Higher paper: the car momentum calculation and the cricket ball force-time explanation (2 marks).

The Topic Mastery Sheet gives both with exact mark scheme wording. The unit “kg m/s” is highlighted as the specifically awarded 4th mark. A conservation of momentum worked example using two trolleys with a spring is included, as is the full F = Δp÷t equation with rearrangement guidance.

The Student Exam Practice Sheet (20 marks) includes: car momentum calculation with unit; braking force from deceleration; scalar/vector identification; spring-released trolleys conservation calculation; Newton’s Third Law direction explanation; cricket ball catch explanation; car braking force calculation; and conservation of momentum principle statement.
