Specification references covered: P2.8–P2.9, P2.13 (a = (v−u)÷t; v²−u² = 2ax; g = 10 m/s²; estimating accelerations)

This pack targets the two hardest marks in CP1c: the 4-mark Higher cyclist calculation using v²−u² = 2ax, and the 6-mark LoR for measuring g.

The Topic Mastery Sheet gives the full worked cyclist calculation with official values and makes explicit that v²−u² ≠ (v−u)². The g measurement section reproduces the full indicative content from the official mark scheme. The error box addresses the most common wrong answer on this Higher question.

The Student Exam Practice Sheet (20 marks) covers: skydiver free fall MCQ; sports car acceleration MCQ; basic a = (v−u)÷t calculation; equation recall; 4-mark Higher cyclist calculation; ball-drop calculation; 6-mark LoR for measuring g with Level descriptors; and whether g depends on mass.
