Counting Vegetables at Harvest Time is a set of 10 printable counting worksheets for KS1 children. Each worksheet features three different vegetables for children to count and record by writing the correct number in the matching box. The vegetables include familiar favourites such as carrots, pumpkins and lettuce alongside less familiar varieties such as radishes, butter beans and beetroot, helping to broaden children’s vocabulary while developing their understanding of different foods.
The worksheets provide practice counting quantities up to 15, supporting early number recognition, one-to-one correspondence and accurate counting skills. With simple black-and-white illustrations, they are ideal for colouring once the counting activity is complete.
This resource makes a good addition to Harvest celebrations and links with topics about food, plants, healthy eating, farming and the changing seasons. The worksheets combine maths with cross-curricular learning in a topical way.
