This lesson introduces students to the concept of conflict and explores practical ways to resolve disagreements at home, in school, and in the wider community. Through discussion, partner tasks, and group work, pupils define conflict, examine real-life scenarios, and practise solutions that stress fairness and respect.

Activities include a story about family TV disputes, scenario cards for role play, and reflection questions to deepen understanding. The resource supports National Identity themes of Respect and Compassion, while developing key social skills in communication, compromise, and problem-solving. Suitable for KS2–KS3 Social Studies or PSHE contexts
