We made these guides because my Computer Science students kept losing marks on the same things: forgetting overflow detection in binary addition, mixing up MAR and MDR registers, confusing lossy with lossless compression, writing pseudocode with Python syntax (which Cambridge does NOT accept), forgetting the base case in recursion, misreading Dijkstra’s algorithm tables, not checking overflow/underflow in stack/queue implementations, and leaving the evidence document blank in Paper 4.
