I teach IGCSE Geography at an international school in Southeast Asia. Climate change was the topic I kept rebuilding every year, because the figures I taught in September were out of date by the time we revised in May.

This is the complete Climate Change unit for Cambridge IGCSE Geography 0460, written for the 2027 syllabus. Six modules, 360 PowerPoint slides in total, with a matching Word workbook for every module in full colour and grayscale, a full answer key throughout, and access to 129 interactive activities on the Geography Oasis website included as a bonus. Every figure is sourced and dated on the slide.

The six modules:

- Module 1: Evidence of Climate Change (67 slides)
- Module 2: Natural Causes of Climate Change (57 slides)
- Module 3: The Human Influence (42 slides)
- Module 4: Impacts of Climate Change (47 slides)
- Module 5: Managing Climate Change (83 slides)
- Module 6: Climate Change in Iceland, a Detailed Specific Example (64 slides)

Syllabus coverage:

  • The evidence for a changing climate, both direct and proxy, and why convergence matters
  • Natural causes: Milankovitch cycles, sunspots, volcanic activity, and why none explains the last fifty years
  • The enhanced greenhouse effect, the greenhouse gases, and the three human causes
  • Impacts on nature and people, including both mechanisms of sea level rise
  • Mitigation and adaptation, international agreements, climate justice, and the limits of adaptation
  • A full Detailed Specific Example with named places and real figures

Also suitable for AP Human Geography, World Geography, and any climate change or environmental issues unit at ages 14-16.

Why the bundle:

  • The modules are built to run in order, so each one sets up the next
  • Command word work, data response and extended writing run throughout
  • A full term of teaching, planned and resourced

Format and compatibility:

Delivered as PowerPoint (.pptx) and Word (.docx) files. All written content is fully editable, though diagrams and visuals are not.

This is the complete Climate Change unit, and buying the bundle saves against the individual modules. If you find this useful, a review would mean a lot. It’s how other teachers discover these resources, and it helps me keep creating.
