Cirque du Freak lesson for KS3 English that looks at Darren Shan’s novel and support students as they plan and prepare for an assessment on how tension is created within the novel.

Students are given a GCSE-style question that is extract-based but is accessible for KS3 English students. As well as this, the resource includes modelled examples, worksheets, extensive teacher and student notes and more.
