Paper 2 is different from Paper 1. Less time (80 minutes), fewer marks (80), but a whole different set of theories — Gibson vs Gregory, Maslow’s hierarchy, Chomsky’s LAD, and Piaget’s stages. My students used to mix up bottom-up with top-down until I made this guide.

This is their complete Paper 2 toolkit. Inside: a topic frequency heatmap (Visual Perception is the most content-dense — this guide cuts through the noise), high-value definitions word-for-word from the Cambridge syllabus, an 8-mark extended response template with worked examples, and predicted topics for 2027–2029. Section D (Non-Experimental Methods) covers observations, questionnaires, interviews, and case studies — plus validity, reliability, ethics, and data handling.

Everything follows the 0266 syllabus (2027–2029). No fluff. No generic advice. Just what earns marks in the actual exam.

What’s included:
• Paper 2 structure & timing strategy (80 min / 80 marks)
• 5-step short-answer strategy + common exam errors (Gibson vs Gregory mix-ups, stage order mistakes)
• All 9 named studies with results + conclusions only (experiment numbers specified — Haber & Levin Exp. 2, Bremner Exp. 2, Merchant study 3)
• Comparison tables: Gibson vs Gregory, Broca’s vs Wernicke’s, structured vs unstructured observation, open vs closed questions
• Language acquisition stages quick reference (pre-linguistic → multi-word)
• Maslow’s hierarchy quick reference (all 5 levels with need types)
• 4-week revision plan + exam day protocols
• Quick reference appendix for last-minute cramming

Suitable for classroom revision, flipped learning, or independent study. My students say the ‘Argument FOR / Argument AGAINST’ table for all six Paper 2 theories is what saves them in the 8-mark question.

A small ask: If this guide helps you and your students, please take two minutes to leave a review. It helps other teachers find resources that actually work — and I read every single one. Thank you!
