PowerPoint presentation showing pupils how to solve chemical calculation problems.

Starting with balancing equations and identifying coefficients then molar ratios.
My Scottish higher chemistry pupils often got lost doing separate mole calculations so I put this together to help them use the same strategy no matter what type of calculation they are given.
Introduces dimensional analysis which is a strategy where units are cancelled out (also known as factor label method).
There are lots of basic unit conversion problems to get them using the strategy before easing them into chemical arithmetic questions and then mole mass, mole concentration and titration questions.
Following on from these are how to do limiting reactant/excess questions and percentage yield calculations.

This strategy has them feeling much more confident in doing all types of calculations.
