Inspired by the AQA GCSE Devising Drama Unit;Charlie’s Choice is a great scheme of work for Year 7 or 8 that explores practitioners (Stanislavski and Naturalism/Artaud and Surrealism) to better understand why there is conflict as a teenager, and the impact that choices can have.

This Drama scheme of work also has really good links with the PSHE Curriculum, and could be used in collaboration with certain topics.

In it, Students explore the story of Charlie, a teenager who has made bad choices and has to suffer the consequences. Students will look at staging an argument, consider how Given Circumstances might shape a situation and create a nightmare sequence as an evaluation.
