Mathematics Assessment – Stage 6

This assessment is designed for Cambridge Primary Mathematics learners at Stage 6. It reviews and extends key skills from the curriculum framework through four areas:

Angles and Shapes – Learners estimate, measure, and construct angles using a protractor, and use angle facts (such as angles on a straight line and in a triangle) to calculate unknown values.

Fractions – Learners apply their knowledge of multiplying and dividing fractions by whole numbers and simplify results where possible.

Geometry in Context – Learners use reasoning to solve angle problems without measurement, showing their understanding of geometrical relationships.

Problem Solving with Money – Learners apply the four operations in real-life contexts involving costs, quantities, and unit pricing.

The assessment is marked out of 35 points and encourages accuracy, clear reasoning, and problem-solving in context. It is suitable for Stage 6 learners to demonstrate mastery of key objectives before progressing to the next stage.
