SUPPORTIVE TOOL FOR 90-WORD WRITING TASKS

Bubble Frame – Writing

Students work individually with a bubble writing frame worksheet. There is a 90-word exam-style question at the bottom.

Around the edges of the sheet are ‘bubbles’ with phrases, words or grammatical items in. These will both support your students and challenge them to include complex structures. Students draft a piece of extended writing which answers the exam-style question and includes as many of the bubbles as possible. Students colour in the bubbles as they use them.
