An engaging KS3 Art activity inspired by Bruce Nauman’s exploration of space, direction and perception.

Students create a dynamic composition using lines, arrows and pathways that guide the viewer’s eye across the page. They explore direction, repetition, contrast, focal points and optical illusion while developing a bold conceptual design.

The extension encourages students to add hidden words, symbols or additional pathways to create more complex visual effects.

A great resource for developing composition, visual movement and creative problem-solving.

Ideal for KS3 Art, cover lessons, optical art projects and independent classroom activities.
