24 argumentative writing prompt cards for Grades 9-12, IB DP + CCSS aligned. Genuine debate topics with a “Consider” scaffold hint on every card.

Topics include universal basic income, civil disobedience, billionaires, climate refugees, meritocracy, hate speech, and whether universities should be free. Every prompt asks students to develop a nuanced argument or careful position — because at this level, simple takes aren’t enough. Every card includes a “Consider” hint naming the key dimensions of the debate.
