This is a calligraphy workshop, which can be hosted by any teacher who could read and write in Arabic. The workshop was originally prepared for native English speakers. These were Key Stage 3 students, however the resources could be adapted for other ages and key stages too.

The set includes a Power Point file that goes alongside a Worksheet that would need to be printed. It’s only one page (single-sided) to print, and the backside of this page (blank otherwise) is meant to be used for the final activity (Activity 3) where the students write and decorate their own names in Arabic.

As an additional suggestion, if your planning time allows, you can print a list of attendees with their names typed in English and Arabic side-by-side. These can be cut and provided to the attendees as a mini-visual aid for Activity 3.
