This resource is a fully original, exam‑style Paper 2 for AQA GCSE English Language, designed to support students who benefit from themed or interest‑based materials. Both non‑fiction sources are entirely new texts written specifically for this paper: a 20th‑century opinion piece and a 19th‑century Victorian article, each centred around railways to engage learners with a passion for trains. The paper follows the structure and expectations of AQA Paper 2, including two contextualised sources and an accompanying Question 5 opinion statement suitable for extended writing practice.

To ensure accuracy, clarity and period‑appropriate style, I used Microsoft Copilot AI as a drafting assistant while creating the sources and contextual materials. All content has been fully reviewed, edited and quality‑checked by me to meet GCSE standards and to ensure it is safe, original, and suitable for classroom or tutoring use.

This resource is ideal for targeted intervention, themed revision, or supporting reluctant readers by connecting exam skills to personal interests.
