Dear Colleague,

This formative assessment focuses on Government Laws in the American West, giving students the chance to consolidate knowledge through interactive tasks, self-assessment, and peer feedback.

Learning Objectives:

LO 1: To recall the key government acts with the natives that shaped their life.
LO 2: To explain how these laws affected settlers and Native Americans.
LO 3: To evaluate the long-term impact of government policy on the settlement of the West.

This assessment works well as a standalone activity or as consolidation after teaching government laws and policies.
