This AI Literacy Discussion Guide was developed by the Center for Digital Literacy (CDL) with support from Meta. It is designed to help educators easily and meaningfully lead classroom discussions with students on topics related to artificial intelligence, AI ethics, and the changes AI will bring to our future society.

What makes this resource stand out: Like any technology, AI is a double-edged sword. This discussion guide is designed to help students explore both the risks and opportunities of AI in a balanced way. Rather than providing simple answers, it encourages students to think critically for themselves, form their own opinions, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the social and ethical impact of AI.

Structured talking points and Q&A examples are included throughout the guide, allowing even educators without specialist knowledge of AI to confidently facilitate discussion-based lessons.
