A unit of 7 lessons (adaptable) that introduces students to Edward Tinga Tinga and the African culture in the form of designing a research page before moving onto the focus of TINGA TINGA Animals.
The PowerPoint includes extension tasks, hand-outs and hand-made visual guides that explore tinga tinga animals. Starter activities and ‘Do Now’ tasks are threaded throughout.
Students enjoy exploring Tinga Tinga style animals, how to draw them, how to blend and shade, and also how to incorporate watercolour paints into their designs.
