DESCRIPTION:

This engaging worksheet helps students explore the advantages and disadvantages of technology while developing their French reading and translation skills.

Students begin by assigning two different colours to advantages and disadvantages, then highlight each French sentence accordingly. They must decide whether each statement presents a positive or negative aspect of technology before translating the sentences into English.

The task encourages learners to think critically about meaning, recognise key topic vocabulary, and practise accurate translation in a clear, structured way.
The worksheet includes 16 short, accessible sentences covering common issues related to technology and the internet, including:
• online safety
• social media
• addiction to devices
• communication
• convenience and entertainment
• dangers of the internet

An answer sheet with full translations is included, making the resource easy to use for independent practice, homework, cover lessons, or exam preparation.

Perfect for:
• CFE Level 3/4 or KS3 French
• National 5 / GCSE French theme: Technology / Social Media
• Translation practice and vocabulary consolidation

This print-ready activity is quick to implement and encourages active reading while reinforcing key topic vocabulary related to technology and modern life.
