Acting Through Song & Monologue

An engaging and practical Performance lesson designed to help students develop their acting skills through the analysis and performance of songs and monologues. Rather than focusing solely on vocal ability, this lesson encourages learners to explore character, emotion and storytelling through physical and vocal performance choices.

Students select from a range of musical theatre songs or a dramatic monologue before analysing the text, identifying emotional shifts and developing purposeful acting choices.
