This complete A–Z sound writing pack supports SEND and Key Stage 1 learners as they develop early phonics, reading, and writing skills. Each letter of the alphabet has its own dedicated page, giving children consistent structure and clear expectations.
Every page includes 30 Boardmaker-licensed symbols (with some included pictures), linked to the target letter sound. Children choose 16 words to write, encouraging independence. For the letters u,v,w,x,y and z- there are two letters on one page and 8 boxes to write in for each sound. Children look for words that contain certain sounds such as q and X.
Each page is provided in both colour and black and white. The colour version supports visual engagement, while the black and white version is ideal for printing, colouring, and accessibility.
This pack supports phonics through sound recognition and application, reading through symbol-word matching, and writing through copying, segmenting, and independent word writing. It also supports speaking and listening as children name, discuss, and rehearse words aloud.
The resource is suitable for whole-class phonics follow-ups, small-group intervention, SEND support, independent writing tasks, and home learning.
This pack is ideal for SEND classrooms, KS1 teachers, teaching assistants, intervention groups, speech and language support, and inclusive learning environments.
