This is a physical game that helps students understand that magnetic fields are everywhere.

The Setup: Hide small magnets around the classroom or under desks.

The Game: Give student pairs a compass. They aren’t allowed to look for the magnets with their eyes; they must follow the needle of the compass.

The Goal: The first team to map the ā€œfield linesā€ of the room and find all the hidden ā€œpolesā€ wins. This teaches them how a compass reacts to a field’s presence and direction.
