‘My Box’: Poetry Writing Activity Sheet is a worksheet designed to help pupils write their own version of the poem ‘My Box’ by Gillian Clarke.

It is designed to compliment study of the poem at GCSE-level and is a fun, creative way for pupils to gain an understanding of the poem – by making it their own!

The pdf includes step-by-step instructions that are easy for the pupils to follow and this double-sided worksheet can be easily printed. It would also suit a cover lesson as pupils can follow the steps independently.

This resource is aimed at a KS4 audience (14-16 years olds) studying English at secondary school. It requires pre-study of the poem. I designed it as part of a programme of study for the comparative poetry unit of the WJEC English Language and Literature coursework.
