The winning individuals and institutions were chosen from a record number of entries across 17 different categories representing the very best in further education
The winners of thewere crowned last nightat a black-tie event attended by more than 800 people andhosted by comedian Alan Davies.
The event, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, celebrated inspirational individuals and outstanding organisations in FE.
A of judges has spent the past year assessing a record number of entries for the awards, sponsored by the Education and Training Foundation, now in theirseventh year.
More than 100 individuals and organisations were shortlisted for the 17 award categories. Theyincluded the first ever 91 FE awardfor specialist provider of the year, won by Foxes Academy - and adult and community provider of the year, won by Lancashire Adult Learning. Foxes Academy also won the flagship award of overallFE provider of the year.
Education secretary Damian Hinds paid tribute to those who had taken part in the awards. In a tweet earlier this evening, he said: “Congratulations to all the nominees in the which celebrate the excellent work taking place in our colleges up and down the country”.
