Fe Chatter: Toyoko 2021, Worldskills & Holidays

This week has been busy: colleges and providers Covid-tested thousands of staff and students to allow them to returnto face-to-face teaching in England, while the sector also marked International Women’s Day and discussed the AoC Sport FIFA 21 Cup. And in Scotland, the teaching staff union and Colleges Scotland are negotiating to avoid strike action.

Best luck to college staff & students this week as mass testing, busy corridors & classes/workshops open up to 650k young people & even more adults. I’m confident your plans will run smoothly, keeping everyone safe, confident & learning

Good luck today to Daniel & Christopher, the first students with disabilities to take part in the 21 Cup. Esports are popular at National Star where staff work with students to make games accessible. Daniel uses six switches when he plays.

It’s Monday morning, Jim, but not as we know it. Solidarity today to colleagues in education.

We had a busy day on Monday celebrating ! Check out what we got up to: ?‍♀?‍??‍♀?‍?

(1/6) For our second health focus of the week we’ll be looking at Ovarian and Cervical cancers.

Both types of cancers can be found in women of all ages, which is why it’s incredibly important to discuss the signs and symptoms to help you identify if something’s not quite right.

Exactly a year ago since I decided I was on a mission to get the love back in FE.

Today I’m back in and will be visiting this very desk and hopefully having a brew...
