Job overview

This is a particularly exciting time to join Oscott Manor, the second school to join the newly established Think Differently Education Trust. This marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for our community, opening up fresh opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and professional growth across Birmingham. By joining us now, you’ll be part of shaping a progressive trust from the ground up — helping to drive meaningful change for our young people while developing your own career in a supportive and ambitious environment.

These teaching roles involve teaching young people with SEN needs who are unable to access mainstream education. Many of our young people have gaps in their education and we strive to implement creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage, enabling all our young people to access learning and make expected progress.

We are looking for resilient and dynamic teachers who can inspire young people and support them to thrive. You should be able to develop and support the needs of the whole child and be committed to enabling all young people to achieve their potential. You must demonstrate tenacity coupled with experience of teaching Upper KS2 - KS4. You should have QTS and a track record as a consistently good/outstanding practitioner.

The successful candidates will take responsibility for the teaching of core and some foundation subjects for a class.

Further information about the role can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification.

Closing date: 9am on 3rd September 2026.
