Job Title: IT Technician

Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire (occasional travel to Tamworth, Staffordshire)

Salary: Grade 5 NJC Point 6-9 (£25,989 - £27,254 per annum)

Start Date: Autumn 2026

Contract Type: Permanent, Whole year

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 0800-1600, Friday 0800-1530)

About You:

The Hart School are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual who is keen to develop their career in IT support. You’ll have a good understanding of computers, devices, and software, and a genuine interest in helping others solve every day technical issues. You will join a supportive, friendly and experienced team, with opportunities to grow your skills in a busy and rewarding school environment.

Our ideal candidate would:

  • Have experience providing customer-focused IT support, in a Windows environment.

  • Have experience troubleshooting hardware, software and user account issues.

  • Be able to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.

  • Be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues using a logical and methodical approach.
