Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School is a thriving and successful school of over 1,360 students. We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, enthusiastic and practical Design Technology Technician to support the delivery of our practical subjects.
Working closely with teaching staff, you will play a vital role in preparing materials, resources and specialist equipment for lessons, ensuring that workshops and teaching spaces are safe, organised and fully equipped. The successful candidate will help maintain machinery and tools, monitor stock levels, support health and safety compliance, and assist students and staff during practical activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with workshop or technical experience who enjoys working in an educational environment and is committed to supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for someone who:
Has NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Has good standards of literacy and numeracy
Has experience of providing technical or workshop support
Has knowledge of specialist tools, equipment and resources
Can work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students and staff
Has a strong commitment to health and safety
Is organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
