Job overview

We're looking for an organised, personable Administrative Assistant to join our front-of-house team at New College Bradford. You'll be the first friendly face students, parents and visitors see, managing reception, supporting Student Services with admissions and student records, and keeping the day-to-day running of the college smooth and welcoming. No two days are quite the same. One moment you're issuing a visitor lanyard, the next you're drafting a letter to parents or updating student records on our systems.

This is a part-time, term-time role (15 hours a week, 40 weeks a year), making it a great fit if you're looking for flexible hours that work around family life or other commitments, while still being part of a genuinely supportive, award-winning team.

About you

You'll have intermediate Word and Excel skills, some experience in an administrative or reception role, and a naturally organised, calm approach to juggling different tasks. You're comfortable handling confidential information sensitively, happy dealing with people face to face and on the phone, and don't mind the occasional first-aid call or unexpected visitor query landing on your desk. Previous experience in a school or college setting is a bonus, but not essential. What matters most is a proactive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting a busy team.
