In this activity, students will learn how the design of Viking longships allowed the Norse to travel vast distances, launch rapid attacks, and establish trade routes across Europe and beyond. They will examine how specific features such as clinker-built hulls, shallow drafts, and combined sail-and-oar propulsion gave Vikings an advantage in warfare, exploration, and commerce.

It has 12 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
