The complete National 5 Physical Education course — planned, resourced and ready to teach.

This bundle is the entire N5 PE year in one download. Built and used in a Scottish secondary PE department, it follows a 4-lesson-a-week model (2 classroom, 2 practical) and takes pupils from the first week of term right through to portfolio submission and the final exam.

No gap-filling, no cobbling together resources the night before. Open the block plan, find your week, and everything for it is already made.

What’s included

Whole-year block plan — all four terms mapped lesson by lesson, colour-coded by lesson type (theory / practical / testing) so you can see the shape of the year at a glance.
54 theory PowerPoints — one for every classroom lesson across the session, in a consistent 25-slide format: learning journey, learning intentions and success criteria with the meta-skill made explicit, colour-coded task zones, a mid-lesson learning review and an end-of-lesson learning review, a whiteboard challenge task, and a meta-skills reflection.
108 lesson plans — a written plan for every theory and every practical lesson in the year.
4 pupil workbooks — one per term, matched slide-for-slide to the theory lessons so pupils have a complete written record of the course.
Portfolio-ready PDP structure — the Personal Development Plan sequence is built around the physical and emotional factors and timed to be completed and submitted before the February break, in line with the SQA National 5 PE Portfolio Assessment Task.

Why teachers use it

Consistent format throughout. Pupils learn the routine once — the same zones, the same review points, the same reflection — so cognitive load goes on the content, not on decoding the slides.
Assessment is built in, not bolted on. Learning reviews twice a lesson, whiteboard challenges for live checking, and workbooks that leave a paper trail for tracking and reporting.
Meta-skills made visible. Every lesson names the meta-skill being developed, supporting the wider Curriculum for Excellence skills agenda.
Fully editable. PowerPoints, plans and workbooks are all supplied in editable format — adapt the activity contexts to whatever your facilities and department offer.
